Sylwia Olszyńska
Sylwia Olszyńska, Polish soprano, graduated from solo singing at the Academy of Music in Kraków and doctoral studies from the Academy of Music in Katowice. She is a winner and finalist of numerous international competitions. In 2016 Sylwia Olszyńska made her debut at the Wrocław Opera as Pamina in a production to which she has returned in the 2017/2018 season. The same season, the role of Pamina brought her stage debuts at the Polish National Opera in Barrie Kosky’s staging of “Die Zauberflöte”, the National Miskolc Theatre in Hungary and the Hungarian State Opera. Furthermore she performed for the first time the part of Mimi at the Immling Festival. Following seasons she debuted in the parts of Diane in “Hippolyte et Aricie” at the Opera Rara Festival, Suor Genovieffa in “Suor Angelica” at the Inauguration of Ada Sari International Vocal Artistry Festival, the title character as well as Desirée in a world premiere of Albin Fries’ opera “Nora” taking place at the Bartok Opera Festival, the parts of Zelma and Marietta in L. Różycki’s “Casanova” at the Polish National Philharmonic. Artist’s engagements in the 2020/2021 season include debut as Sophie in “Werther” at the Polish National Opera.
