Elwira Janasik
Graduate of Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw from the voice class of Ryszard Cieśla. Many-time scholar of the Polish Ministry of Culture and Pro Polonia Society.
Elwira Janasik is a winner of various national and international vocal competitions, including: the 3rd Maria Stankowska National Voice Festival in Olsztyn, the 2nd Barbara Kostrzewska Sub-Carpathian Vocal Contest, the 6th Lubomir Różycki Vocal Competition in Gliwice, the 10th Franciszka Platówna National Vocal Contest in Wrocław. She won the 3rd prize at the 4th I.J. Paderewski Vocal Competition in Bydgoszcz and the 3rd prize at the the 14th “Slavic Music” Inter-College Vocal Competition. The singer was also awarded the 3rd prize prize, along with the distinction for the best mezzo-soprano at the 3rd Giulio Perotti International Vocal Contest in Ueckermünde (Germany). In 2019 she became a finalist of the 4th Adam Didur International Opera Vocal Competition and received a special prize from Wiesław Ochman- the chairman of the jury.
Elwira Janasik performed on such stages as: the Grand Theatre in Łódź, the Polish National Opera, the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk, the Polish Theatre in Poznań, the Castle Opera in Szczecin or the Warsaw Chamber Opera. Since 5 years, she has been working with pianist Jolanta Pszczółkowska-Pawlik, with whom she has recorded an album featuring S. Moniuszko’s songs.
